Job Overview
We are seeking experienced software engineers with strong expertise in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Golang to support advanced AI development and evaluation projects.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with preference data collection, rubric creation, data quality evaluation, and engineering pipelines or infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and refine rubrics and evaluation criteria for preference data.
- Review and label data while maintaining high quality standards.
- Build and maintain pipelines for data generation, collection, and evaluation.
- Prepare clear technical summaries and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers on scalable AI evaluation workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Golang.
- Experience building pipelines, maintaining infrastructure, or navigating large codebases.
- Hands-on experience with preference data collection and/or rubric creation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent technical judgment.
- Experience with large codebases such as VS Code is a plus.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be based in the USA (approved regions only) or Canada.
- Candidates from Tier 1 companies and Tier 1 universities are preferred.
- LinkedIn profile is mandatory and must be included in the resume.
- Candidates must not currently be working at Microsoft.
Availability & Contract Details
- Minimum 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week.
- At least 4 hours of overlap with PST is required.
- Remote, 3-month contractor engagement; no paid leave or medical benefits.
