What you will do
- Develop test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features
- Perform functional, regression, UI, and cross-browser testing of Java-based web applications
- Troubleshoot backend issues through log review, API testing (Apache Solr, RESTful services), and SQL queries
- Test Apache Tomcat deployments, LDAP authentication, Oracle 19c integrations, Solr data migration, and SAP Business Intelligence reporting
- Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards
- Verify system buildout including installation, configuration, and integration
- Build and maintain UI automation frameworks and integrate tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Manage defect tracking and document test results, defects, and quality metrics
Required qualifications
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (U.S. citizenship required)
- 18 years of software or systems engineering experience (a Bachelor's degree substitutes for 4 years, a Master's for 6)
- Extensive functional and regression testing of UI web applications
- Strong UI testing expertise including cross-browser compatibility
- Backend troubleshooting through application and server log review
- Proficiency with defect tracking systems
- Writing and executing SQL queries to validate application data
- Verifying system buildout including installation, configuration, and integration
Preferred qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and Section 508/WCAG
- Windows Server environments
- Apache Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP Business Intelligence testing
- API testing with Apache Solr and RESTful services
- CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab
- Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
