Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated, curious, and detail-oriented SEO Intern to join our digital marketing team. In this role, you will work closely with our marketing and content teams to optimize website structure, improve organic search engine rankings, conduct keyword discovery, and track site performance. This internship offers hands-on experience with live client projects and practical exposure to modern organic search workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Keyword Research: Identify high-volume, relevant, and low-competition search queries using tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ubersuggest to guide content creation.
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings (H1–H6), URL slugs, image alt text, and internal link architecture.
- Technical SEO Basics: Assist in monitoring crawl errors, broken links (404s), duplicate content, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt files.
- Content Collaboration: Work alongside content writers to ensure newly published blog posts, landing pages, and service pages adhere to current SEO best practices.
- Competitor & Market Analysis: Analyze competitor backlink profiles, organic keywords, and content gaps to identify ranking opportunities.
- Off-Page SEO: Support link-building initiatives, including directory submissions, outreach, and digital PR research.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track organic traffic metrics, rankings, and impressions using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console to compile weekly performance reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Mass Communication, or related fields.
- Basic understanding of how search engine ranking algorithms, crawling, and indexing work.
- Familiarity with foundational on-page and off-page SEO concepts.
- Exposure to tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or third-party tools (Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Screaming Frog) is a strong plus.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, WordPress, or standard content management systems (CMS) is advantageous.
- Strong written English communication, analytical thinking, and research skills.
- Ability to work on-site at our BTM Layout office.
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
