We are seeking an experienced and people-focused *Human Resources Director to lead our HR functions and support the continued success of our team.
This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations, ensuring compliance, promoting employee engagement, and helping create an environment where employees can thrive while delivering outstanding resident care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, employee engagement, and retention initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and healthcare regulations
- Administer employee benefits, process personnel changes, and support payroll-related functions
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations matters, including coaching, conflict resolution, performance management, and progressive discipline
- Partner with department leaders on staffing strategies, workforce planning, and organizational development efforts
- Maintain accurate employee records and prepare documentation for audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews
- Support labor relations activities and union matters, when applicable
- Foster a positive workplace culture that reflects the values and mission of Fair Haven Senior Living
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of Human Resources Management, or related leadership experience, preferably in Healthcare.
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, healthcare, or senior living environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required
