- Deliver aviation security screening services in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the safety and security of passengers, aircraft and security-sensitive areas.
- Operate screening equipment and maintain required competencies and accreditations.
- Support Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) activities including airfield inspections and wildlife hazard management when trained and authorised.
- Assist with airport operations, grounds maintenance and facility presentation activities.
- Provide administrative support including reporting, record keeping and purchasing activities.
- Respond to operational incidents and assist with business continuity requirements.

About the Position
The Airport Screening & Operations Officer is primarily responsible for conducting passenger and baggage screening in accordance with aviation security legislation, regulatory requirements and airport procedures. Screening functions represent the principal focus of the role and are critical to maintaining the safety, security and compliance of airport operations.
When not undertaking screening activities, you will contribute across a broad range of airport services including Airport Reporting Officer support, airport administration, customer service, facility presentation, maintenance coordination and operational activities that help ensure the airport operates safely and efficiently
This position is responsible for:
- Previous experience in an Aviation Screening Officer, Security Screening Officer or similar aviation security role.
- Certificate II in Transport Security Protection and/or Certificate II in Security Operations.
- Experience working within a regulated operational environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain concentration for extended periods.
- Sound computer skills and experience maintaining records and reports.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an ASIC and National Police Clearance.
- Interest in developing broader airport operations and ARO capabilities.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience in an Aviation Screening Officer, Security Screening Officer or similar aviation security role.
