Department Operations LevelExperienced (Individual Contributor) LocationBangkok The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.
Job Description:
- Supervise Vendor, engineering team, procurement,construction, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance for Shopee Express facilities
- Responsible for all aspects concerning the design of mechanical systems of the project e.g. auto sorting machines, warehouse facilities' mechanical, fire protection and plumbing
- Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies or details.
- Review and evaluation of company and third party engineering documents, like; drawings, diagrams, blueprints, schematics and other technical drawings etc.
- Provides counsel and leadership in establishing and refining preventive maintenance programs, employee training programs, manpower scheduling techniques, parts room inventory, efficiency improvement programs, regulatory compliance programs, etc.
- Coordinate and supervise construction and commissioning activities of vendors and mechanical construction/installation sub-contractors.
- Oversees maintenance procedures, schedules, work orders, and makes tactical decisions to optimize utilization of resources in alignment with equipment availability and plant priorities
- Generate system change documentation to increase operating efficiency, performance, safety, and reliability.
- Supervise engineers and technicians in responsibility to accomplish their job in the most effective way.
- Manage and control projects including, but not limited to, engineering and operations on the basis of cost, timeline and quality.
Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in similar industries, at least partly in an international setting
- Knowledge of local and international legal regulations regarding mechanical issues.
- Proficiency in engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical and problem solving capabilities, self-motivated, team player and strong communicator
- Agile, flexible, able to work under pressure and highly-dynamic environment
