The Role
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of complex technology initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment.
This role is ideal for a highly organised delivery professional with strong stakeholder engagement, governance, and project management capabilities. You will work across multiple delivery streams, ensuring milestones are achieved, dependencies are managed, risks are mitigated, and delivery outcomes align with business objectives.
Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads, Scrum Masters, and key business stakeholders, you will provide delivery leadership and ensure programs are executed efficiently from planning through to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery planning, milestone tracking, and scheduling across multiple initiatives.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate delivery activities across technical and business teams.
- Coordinate sprint outcomes, testing activities, release readiness, and deployment planning.
- Monitor project progress and ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
- Manage project RAID registers including risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide governance reporting, status updates, and executive dashboards.
- Support resource planning, capacity management, and delivery forecasting.
- Coordinate financial tracking, budgeting, and project reporting activities.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads, and Scrum Masters to resolve delivery blockers.
- Facilitate stakeholder forums, delivery reviews, and governance meetings.
- Manage escalations and drive resolution of delivery risks and issues.
- Provide delivery assurance and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, reporting, and governance frameworks.
- Support Agile delivery practices and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Ensure successful project outcomes through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Need
- Demonstrated experience as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Program Delivery Manager, or similar role.
- Strong experience managing complex technology, digital, or transformation programs.
- Proven ability to manage dependencies, delivery schedules, and competing priorities.
- Experience coordinating Agile delivery teams and sprint-based delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of project governance, RAID management, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience managing stakeholder communications and executive reporting.
- Experience coordinating testing, release planning, and deployment readiness activities.
- Strong financial management, resource planning, and forecasting capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced and complex delivery environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery tools.
- Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, SAFe, or Scrum certifications.
- Experience within large enterprise, government, telecommunications, or regulated environments.
- Exposure to cloud, software, infrastructure, or cybersecurity delivery programs.
