Job Description:
Finance-Intern
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Manager – Finance
Location: Hyderabad
Internship-6 months
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting concepts, good Excel skills, and a willingness to learn and work with Tally ERP.
Key Responsibilities
- Perfom reconciliation receivable accounts by matching invoices, payments, and outstanding balances with accounting records.
- Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies between customer records, bank receipts, and books of accounts.
- Prepare and maintain accounts receivable ageing reports and highlight overdue customer balances.
- Coordinate with internal teams to obtain payment confirmations, supporting documents, and necessary details for reconciliation.
- Assist in raising, checking, and maintaining sales invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Assist in recording receipts, accounting entries, vouchers, and other routine finance transactions.
- Support the Finance team during month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparing receivable schedules, reconciliation statements, and supporting documents required for internal and statutory audits.
- Perform other general accounting and finance activities assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Basic understanding of Accounts Receivable and reconciliation processes.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel – basic formulas, sorting, filtering, Pivot Tables, and data management.
- Basic knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn accounting processes and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of GST and basic taxation concepts will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to accounting software such as Tally Prime will be preferred.
