**Job Purpose**

To design, validate, and release accurate engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation that ensure manufacturability, installation fitment, serviceability and customer satisfaction.

The role supports new product development (NPD), customer\-specific customization, product life\-cycle improvements, installation documentation, and service issue rectification.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1\. Design \& Drafting Responsibilities**

· Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) based on customer or project\-specific requirements.

· Develop conceptual designs, 2D drawings, and 3D models in CAD software (SolidWorks/Inventor/AutoCAD).

· Prepare packing list, stuffing drawings, fabrication layouts, assembly drawings and production\-ready drawings.

· Make design changes / revisions based on customer requirements, engineering feedback, or project constraints.

· Perform layout feasibility checks, tolerance stack\-up analysis, and manufacturability checks.

· Redesign or iterate existing product designs for cost, quality, or functionality improvement

**2\. Product Validation \& Technical Documentation**

* Provide validation support for New Product Development (NPD)—fitment trials, prototyping assistance, design approvals. * Prepare Validation Checklists, PDI Checklists, and Maintenance Checklists. * Assist in preparing the Spare Parts Catalogue, Installation Manuals, and Operation \& Maintenance (O\&M) Manuals. * Prepare essential spare parts lists, including life\-span\-based recommendations.

**3\. Engineering Change Management**

* Process and update design changes through ECR / ECN / ICR / NCR workflows. * Implement CAPA actions based on design\-linked NCRs, field complaints, or project issues. * Maintain drawing revision history, version control, and update ERP/PLM systems accordingly.

**4\. Cross\-Functional Support**

· Provide technical support to production teams during assembly, fabrication, machining, or testing.

· Support service teams in resolving customer complaints, root cause identification, and implementing design improvements.

· Coordinate with Sales \& Projects to understand customer technical requirements and constraints.

· Provide on\-site / remote support during equipment installation and commissioning.

· Analyse service feedback, support troubleshooting, and assist in resolving field issues.

· Coordinate with the production team to solve design\-related issues quickly and effectively.

· Work closely with Quality and Validation teams for inspections, trials, and DFMEA/Validation cycles.

**5\. Quality \& Process Compliance**

· Follow internal design standards, drawing templates, tolerances and engineering best practices.

· Ensure 100% adherence to design QA checklists before releasing drawings.

· Ensure all drawings, BOMs, manuals and documents are uploaded in ERP systems.

**Skills \& Competencies Required**

**Technical Skills**

· Expertise in CAD software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD

· Understanding of mechanical systems, drives, linkages, pneumatic/electromechanical assemblies

· Knowledge of BOM creation, tolerance analysis, GD\&T

· Familiarity with ECR/ECN/NCR processes

· Understanding of Automation / Mechanism design (Textile/Car Parking preferred)

· Strong understanding of manufacturability and assembly processes

· Ability to create clear, accurate instructions and manuals

· Knowledge of material specs, welding, machining fundamentals

· Root Cause Analysis (RCA) \& CAPA skills

Pay: ₹30,000\.00 \- ₹50,000\.00 per month
