We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our SRM platform team and take responsibility for the databases at the core of a mission-critical production environment. In this role, you will administer and operationally support our Oracle databases, safeguard their health and performance, and troubleshoot the complex interactions between databases, interfaces and production processes that keep product data consistent across the landscape. You will collaborate closely with application engineers, interface specialists, SAP and PLM teams, and production stakeholders — focusing on analyzing and resolving real-world production issues.

- Monitor database health, performance and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related production incidents
- Manage database maintenance activities, schema adaptations and data corrections
- Support and monitor the replication mechanisms between these databases, including conflict analysis and resolution
- Execute SQL-based analyses for production issues and data inconsistencies
- Ensure data quality and consistency across the complete toolchain
- Support technical upgrades affecting the database backend
- Support SAP integration (order intake, release/V-status and license-obligation logic)
- Manage interfaces with surrounding enterprise systems: SAP, TeamCenter (PLM), ClearCase (version control), OpenFT (managed file transfer), NetApp (storage) and Saperion (archiving)
- Understand the complete product-data flow from development systems through to manufacturing
Required at Onboarding:
-
Oracle database administration experience (operations, maintenance, troubleshooting)
-
Strong SQL skills (maintenance tasks, error analysis)
-
Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications and system integrations
-
Basic understanding of system integration and interface architectures (SAP, PLM tools, file transfer)
-
Familiarity with enterprise interfaces such as OpenFT (file transfer), NetApp (storage) and Saperion (archiving)
-
Conceptual understanding of a version control system such as ClearCase (advantageous) Skills to be Learned On the Job:
-
Our domain-specific database logic: the SZEN/SPRO structure, replication and conflict resolution
-
SAP integration: order intake, release/V-status and license-obligation logic
-
Database enhancements for data consistency and quality
