A well established company is looking for a sharp, reliable, and motivated Pharmacist's Assistant (Post Basic) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the pharmacist with the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring accurate, efficient, and professional service to patients and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist with the dispensing of medication in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations
- Receive, check, and process prescriptions and medication orders
- Assist with stock management, including receiving, checking, packing, and rotating stock
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering when required
- Ensure medication and pharmacy products are stored correctly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist with customer and patient queries in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional pharmacy environment
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the pharmacy
- Work closely with the pharmacist and pharmacy team to ensure smooth daily operations
Minimum Requirements
- Pharmacist's Assistant Post Basic qualification
- Relevant registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Previous pharmacy experience will be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and well-organised
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good computer literacy
- Strong customer-service orientation
