Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise workshop staff.
- Diagnose, repair and maintain Mercedes Benz Trucks.
- Use the Mercedes Star Diagnostics Computer System for fault finding and diagnostics.
- Attend to mechanical breakdowns.
- Carry out bodywork and welding repairs.
- Manage workshop operations and ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Control and monitor workshop staff performance.
- Oversee other branch Workshop Foreman and act as a mentor.
- Manage job cards and workshop administration.
- Handle licence administration and related documentation.
- Control workshop costs, stock and equipment.
- Ensure workshop tools and equipment are maintained and properly controlled.
- Work overtime when required to meet operational requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Diesel Mechanic qualification
- Prior Managerial experience
- 8 to 10 years indusrtry experience
- Knowledge and experience working on Mercedes Benz Trucks
- Ability to work with the Mercedes Star Diagnostics Computer System
- Bodywork and welding skills
- Valid South African EC driver's licence
- Solid hard worker
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime and ability to handle mechanical breakdowns.
- Ability to control and manage workshop staff
- Own tools will be advantages
