Key duties and responsibilities
· Consult with management and operational teams to identify, analyse and document business requirements for inventory management, sales reporting and related business systems.
· Review existing business processes, workflows and system functionality to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements through ICT solutions.
· Develop business process maps, requirements documentation, functional specifications and implementation plans for system enhancements.
· Analyse requirements for the automation of stocktaking and inventory management using Fishbowl Advanced, and coordinate improvements to support accurate stock control.
· Liaise with software providers and relevant technical personnel to communicate requirements and coordinate system configuration, integration and implementation.
· Define data validation and reconciliation requirements, investigate discrepancies and recommend controls to maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory and sales information.
· Gather reporting requirements and develop specifications for customised sales reports, transaction summaries and operational dashboards.
· Support the automation of year-end reporting, including revenue summaries and sales performance reporting.
· Prepare and execute system testing and user acceptance testing, document defects and coordinate their resolution against agreed business requirements.
· Develop user guides and training materials, and train staff in new or enhanced system functionality.
· Conduct post-implementation reviews, assess whether solutions meet business requirements and recommend further improvements.
· Provide ongoing analytical support to management and users by investigating system issues and identifying appropriate functional improvements.
Qualifications skills and experience
· A bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or substantial relevant experience demonstrating equivalent capability.
· Demonstrated experience in ICT business analysis, including requirements gathering, business process mapping and functional specification development.
· Experience with inventory management or enterprise business systems, including system implementation or enhancement.
· Ability to analyse operational data, investigate data quality issues and translate reporting needs into system requirements.
· Experience in system testing, user acceptance testing, user training and implementation support.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with business users and technical providers.
Desirable experience
· Experience with Fishbowl Advanced or comparable inventory management software.
· Experience supporting ICT systems in a wholesale, distribution or inventory-intensive business.
· Experience with reporting automation and operational dashboards.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
