We are seeking a highly motivated Business Associate to support business development, strategic initiatives, customer engagement, and research program activities.

Position Overview
The Business Associate will work closely with company leadership and technical teams to support commercial and strategic activities across Soelect's technology portfolio.
The position provides broad exposure to:

Prior battery or technical industry experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, highly organized, analytical, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business development activities with new and existing customers.
- Conduct market, industry, competitor, and technology research.
- Identify potential customers, partners, and new business opportunities.
- Prepare business presentations, customer materials, market analyses, and internal reports.
- Support customer meetings and coordinate follow up activities.
- Assist with commercial proposals, quotations, and business documentation.
- Support strategic planning and commercialization activities for new technologies.
- Research battery, AI, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and other emerging markets.
- Support federal research program opportunities and proposal preparation.
- Assist with SBIR, STTR, DoD, DOE, and other government R&D opportunities.
- Coordinate activities with internal technical teams, customers, universities, research institutions, and strategic partners.
- Support international business development activities, particularly in the United States and Asia.
- Assist company leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Science, or another relevant field.
- Recent graduates and early career candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
- Strong business writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to research unfamiliar industries and technologies and quickly understand key business issues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
- Comfortable working with both business and technical teams.
- Self motivated and capable of working in a fast moving startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or MBA candidate is preferred but not required.
- Experience or academic background in business development, strategy, finance, technology commercialization, engineering, or science.
- Interest in batteries, energy, AI, advanced materials, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense technologies.
- Experience with market research or competitive analysis.
- Experience preparing business presentations or proposals.
- Familiarity with U.S. Government R&D programs or federal proposal development.
- International business experience.
- Startup or entrepreneurial experience.
Knowledge of Japanese, Korean or Chinese is a plus, particularly for supporting international customer and partner relationships in Asia.
