The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership experience with practical knowledge of source-control, technical authoring, research-collaboration, and file-sharing platforms. This person must be able to evaluate feasibility, identify technical constraints, communicate tradeoffs, and make informed technology and integration decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Vision and Requirements

Technical and Platform Leadership
- Assess source-control, developer-collaboration, technical authoring, research-sharing, and file-collaboration platforms.
- Partner with engineering and platform architects to evaluate integrations, repository and access models, scalability, performance, and technical tradeoffs.
- Identify constraints early and recommend practical technology-stack and integration approaches.
- Monitor the research-collaboration tooling landscape and adjust the roadmap as needed.
Stakeholder Communication and Delivery Support
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and DevSecOps engineering and platform teams.
- Explain technical constraints, tradeoffs, and timelines to non-technical audiences in clear language.
- Communicate business priorities and external-collaborator needs to technical teams in actionable terms.
- Support planning, prioritization, organization, process mapping, and project-management activities.
- Maintain decision logs, meeting minutes, open-question lists, and requirements-change documentation.
Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in product ownership, technical business analysis, or a related role, preferably in a platform, tooling, or developer-collaboration environment.
- Demonstrated success defining product vision and converting stakeholder needs into technical specifications and user stories.
- Experience working directly with business analysts, senior leadership, engineers, and architects to validate feasibility and make technology decisions.
- Working knowledge of source-control and developer-collaboration platforms such as GitHub; technical authoring and research-collaboration platforms such as Overleaf; and file-collaboration or research-sharing platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
