Architecture: Work with senior engineers to evaluate technical approaches and ensure systems remain scalable, reliable, and appropriate for business requirements.
Release Management: Coordinate releases with engineering, product, quality assurance, and operations teams to maintain stable and predictable delivery.
Performance Management: Track engineering progress, delivery performance, technical risks, and recurring development bottlenecks.
Incident Support: Support engineering teams during significant production issues and ensure root causes are properly investigated and resolved.
Process Improvement: Review development workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, testing, documentation, and engineering efficiency.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate technical priorities, delivery progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to business and product stakeholders.
Resource Planning: Support workload planning, technical prioritisation, and team capacity management across multiple development initiatives.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience with previous responsibility for leading, mentoring, or managing engineers.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of modern software development, application architecture, APIs, databases, cloud environments, testing, deployment, and integration practices.
Leadership: Proven experience supporting engineering teams, setting technical expectations, conducting reviews, and helping developers improve professionally.
Software Delivery: Strong experience delivering production software through the full development lifecycle.
