The Platform Product team drives Solifi’s Open Finance Platform, enabling innovation and scalability across a portfolio of products used by secured finance customers worldwide. We partner closely with Design, Engineering, QA, Services, Marketing, Sales, and other product line teams to deliver modern SaaS solutions that improve customer outcomes. This is a new role at Solifi, offering the opportunity to pave the way for design as a function and establish best practices that shape intuitive, consistent, and scalable experiences across our platform. Together, we play a key role in Solifi’s mission to reshape finance technology by unifying solutions into one powerful platform.
**About the Position**
We’re looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to join our Platform Product team, which powers Solifi’s Open Finance Platform and supports a portfolio of products used globally by secured finance customers.
As our first dedicated designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping user\-centered experiences and high\-quality UI assets for Solifi’s Digital Experience Portal and other platform capabilities. While basic requirements and wireframes will come from the product team, you’ll take ownership of the end\-to\-end user experience—elevating concepts into polished, intuitive, and accessible designs. You will also establish design best practices, introduce scalable systems, and ensure consistency across Solifi’s product portfolio.
**Role and Responsibilities**
- Define and champion the overall design vision, principles, and design standards
- Transform product requirements and wireframes into engaging, user\-friendly designs and production\-ready UI assets.
- Design and deliver high\-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and visual assets for use by engineering teams.
- Define and maintain a scalable design system (patterns, components, and visual guidelines) to ensure cross\-platform consistency.
- Advocate for accessible, inclusive, and user\-centered design across all digital experiences.
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and QA to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate and refine design decisions.
- Present design solutions to stakeholders and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Stay current with design, SaaS, and platform industry trends, introducing best practices to the team.
- Establish repeatable design processes that enable scale and efficiency across teams.
- Contribute to the long\-term vision of the Solifi platform by ensuring a cohesive, intuitive user experience across products.
**About You**
* 5\+years of UI/UX design experience (preferably in SaaS or enterprise applications) with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role * Strong portfolio demonstrating user\-centered design, UI asset creation, and problem\-solving skills. * Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision). * Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and design systems. * Experience collaborating within Agile development teams. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly. * Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills
* Familiarity with AI design or prototyping tools (e.g., Figma AI, Uizard, MidJourney, Galileo AI) to accelerate ideation and concept testing. * Knowledge of financial services, B2B, or data\-heavy platforms. * Experience helping establish design systems or UX practices in a growing organization. * User Experience Focused: You prioritize usability and clarity in every design. * Detail\-Oriented: You deliver polished, consistent UI assets with precision. * Collaborative: You thrive in cross\-functional teams and balance design input with product and engineering needs. * Innovative: You explore modern tools, including AI, to enhance design efficiency and creativity.
Location: Remote US (Near Minneapolis or Atlanta a plus)
