Sports Clean is a proudly Australian family-owned business specialising in the maintenance, repair and lifecycle management of synthetic sporting surfaces. Since 1999, we have supported councils, schools, sporting clubs and facility managers across NSW and the ACT, building a reputation for quality, reliability and technical expertise. Our business continues to grow, and we are seeking an organised, proactive and people-focused Assistant Operations Manager to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their leadership and operational management skills while working alongside an experienced Operations Manager and a dedicated team of field technicians and support staff.

About the Role

As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will support the day-to-day delivery of operations across the business, including:

  • Assisting with scheduling and coordination of field technicians
  • Monitoring job progress and ensuring services are delivered on time
  • Supporting workforce planning and resource allocation
  • Managing client communications and responding to service enquiries
  • Coordinating equipment, materials and procurement requirements
  • Assisting with quality assurance and operational compliance programs
  • Reviewing service reports and ensuring accurate job completion records
  • Supporting WHS, training and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working within our digital systems
  • Assisting the Operations Manager with business improvement initiatives
  • Attending site inspections and client meetings as required
  • Providing hands-on support in the field when required to ensure operational commitments are achieved

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in operations, scheduling, administration, logistics or team coordination
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines
  • Full Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

  • Experience using simPRO or similar job management software
  • Experience managing field service or mobile workforces
  • Experience within maintenance, facilities management, landscaping, construction, transport or trades-based businesses
  • Certificate III, IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Operations, Project Management or a related discipline
  • Understanding of WHS and quality management systems
  • Experience preparing operational reports and analysing performance data
  • Mechanical, trade or maintenance experience
