**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Sports Equipment Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our sports equipment distribution centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics, warehouse activities, and process improvements to optimise efficiency and ensure seamless supply chain management. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems, and a focus on continuous improvement initiatives. The Sports Equipment Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction across all operational functions.

**Responsibilities**

* Oversee all aspects of sports equipment logistics, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control. * Manage transportation management systems (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline operations. * Supervise warehouse staff and coordinate activities related to order fulfilment, stock replenishment, and equipment handling. * Implement process improvements to optimise workflow efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety standards. * Manage relationships with third\-party logistics providers (3PL) and coordinate with external vendors for transportation and warehousing needs. * Utilise forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely to facilitate movement of goods within the facility. * Monitor profit \& loss statements to ensure operational targets are met while maintaining cost control measures. * Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practices such as lean management principles. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all operational areas. * Analyse operational data using AS400 systems and other tools to identify areas for enhancement.

**Experience**

* Proven supervising experience within a logistics or warehouse environment specialising in sports or specialised equipment distribution. * Extensive knowledge of supply chain processes including shipping \& receiving, inventory management, and transportation logistics. * Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, AS400 systems, and process optimisation techniques. * Hands\-on experience with forklift operation and warehouse safety protocols. * Demonstrated ability to manage profit \& loss accounts effectively while leading teams through process improvements. * Strong organisational skills with a track record of implementing continuous improvement strategies in fast\-paced settings.

Pay: £3,750\.00\-£5,000\.00 per month
