Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new mechanical products and components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing, assembly, and part drawings in accordance with engineering standards.
  • Support new product development from concept through production.
  • Work closely with the Process Engineering team to ensure manufacturability and efficient production.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and design documentation.
  • Implement and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
  • Perform drawing revisions, corrections, and PPAP documentation updates.
  • Design tools, jigs, fixtures, and work-holding solutions for VMC machining operations.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and New Product Development (NPD).
  • Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of Process Engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in engineering change management (ECR/ECO/ECN).
  • Good understanding of mechanical drafting and GD&T.
  • Ability to perform drawing corrections and maintain engineering documentation.
  • Experience in designing tools, jigs, and fixtures for VMC machines.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in RF connector design is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with machining, CNC/VMC manufacturing processes, and production support.
  • Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
