About the Role
We are looking for an ERP Executive to own the implementation, day-to-day running, and continuous improvement of our ERP system. You will be the go-to person for everything related to the software: setting it up, training teams, making sure every transaction is recorded accurately and on time, and fixing problems when they come up.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation and setup
- Lead end-to-end ERP implementation, including requirement gathering, configuration, data migration, testing, and go-live.
- Configure modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounts/Finance, HR/Payroll, and Production, based on business needs.
- Set up masters, user roles, access permissions, approval workflows, and templates.
- Map existing business processes to the system and recommend improvements.
Daily operations and data integrity
- Ensure all departments complete their entries correctly and on time (sales, purchases, stock, expenses, payments, etc.).
- Monitor the system daily for missing, duplicate, or incorrect entries, and follow up with the concerned teams.
- Run regular data audits and reconciliations (stock, ledgers, orders) to keep records accurate.
- Maintain proper documentation of all transactions and system changes.
Troubleshooting and support
- Act as first-level support for ERP issues raised by users, and resolve them quickly.
- Diagnose errors, workflow breakdowns, and data mismatches, and escalate to the vendor or IT when needed.
- Coordinate with the ERP vendor on bugs, updates, customizations, and renewals.
Training and adoption
- Train new and existing employees on how to use the system correctly.
- Create SOPs, user manuals, and quick-reference guides.
- Drive user adoption and reduce dependence on manual or parallel records like Excel.
Reporting and improvement
- Generate and customize MIS reports, dashboards, and analytics for management.
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities, and implement improvements.
- Ensure data backups, security practices, and version updates are handled properly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience implementing or managing an ERP system (e.g., Tally Prime, SAP Business One or similar).
- Strong understanding of how an ERP works end to end: how modules connect and how data flows between departments.
- Working knowledge of core business processes: accounting, inventory, procurement, sales, and billing.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning); basic knowledge of SQL or reporting tools is a plus.
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the patience to train and follow up with non-technical users.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with deadlines.
