About Stonz

At Stonz, we believe in creating products that are designed specifically for kids, not just shrunken-down versions of adult gear. From footwear to outerwear, everything we design is engineered for children ages 0 to 6, built to last, and made with care. Our mission is to empower families to explore the world comfortably and safely.

Role Overview

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for building brand awareness, strengthening community engagement, and positioning Stonz as a trusted leader in kids' footwear and gear.

This is a hands-on, content-first role for someone passionate about creating original, high-quality social media content. The role blends creative content production, storytelling, and relationship-building across social platforms and influencer collaborations. The Specialist will manage the day-to-day execution of the brand's digital presence and serve as the primary point of contact between Stonz and its external PR agency, providing internal product knowledge, brand context, and access to relevant resources as needed to support PR and media initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of high-quality, original video content for social media, including Reels, TikToks, and other short-form formats. Bring forward ideas that align with Stonz's brand aesthetic, product priorities, and campaign objectives.
  • Take a hands-on approach to content creation, including filming, editing, sourcing locations or talent when needed, and finding creative ways to produce engaging content within available resources.
  • Lead the planning and development of Stonz's social media content calendar across platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn, translating monthly product and campaign priorities from the Brand & Marketing Manager into a strategic mix of content buckets and formats that ensure balanced, brand-aligned storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designers to develop static social content, bringing forward ideas, references, and concepts to communicate the intended look and feel of each piece while ensuring alignment with the brand's visual identity.
  • Manage community engagement by responding to comments and DMs and fostering authentic conversations with parents and customers.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, providing actionable insights and recommending optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and content effectiveness.
  • Capture and create photo and video content during brand events, trade shows, collaborations, and other on-site opportunities.
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and industry conversations to identify opportunities for relevant content, brand visibility, and audience engagement.
  • Coordinate Stonz's in-house influencer collaborations, including identifying appropriate product and creator matches based on creator profiles and children's ages, negotiating deliverables, coordinating product shipments, and maintaining relationships with creators.
  • Ensure influencer collaborations are aligned with brand and campaign objectives and track deliverables and performance where applicable.
  • Support product seeding, media gifting, and other outreach initiatives as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Stonz and its external PR agency, coordinating communication, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide the agency with the product information, imagery, samples, brand assets, and internal context needed to support media opportunities and submissions.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date product and brand materials, including product brief presentations, to support influencer, PR, and media initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience filming and editing short-form video content for social media is essential.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing original video content created for brands is required. The portfolio should demonstrate experience with Reels, TikToks, and other short-form formats, as well as a strong eye for brand aesthetics, visual storytelling, and creative concepts.
  • 2–4 years of experience in social media, content creation, or a related role, preferably within a consumer brand.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate product and campaign priorities into a structured, brand-aligned social media content calendar using defined content buckets.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and their content formats, trends, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

What We Value

  • Collaboration We believe the best ideas come from working together.
  • Trust We act with integrity and reliability.
  • Curiosity We question, explore, and learn.
  • Humility We listen and lead with respect.
  • Doing What It Takes We commit to excellence and follow through.
