**Job Overview**
**We are in** search for a consistent, energetic and very persistent grant writer one who preferably have won grants before. The compensation for the job is 500$ cash paid by the board each grant won over 5000$ and less than 500 for any grants won under 5000$. We would want to keep track of progress weekly this is a 1099 position. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in grant proposal development, research, and strategic planning to secure vital funding that advances our mission. As a key contributor, you will craft compelling narratives, manage grant applications, and foster relationships with funders, ensuring our programs continue to thrive and expand. **Responsibilities**
* Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate donors aligned with our community\-focused initiatives. * Develop persuasive grant proposals, compelling narratives, and supporting documents that meet funder guidelines and highlight our organization’s strengths. * Manage grant application processes from initial research through submission, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. * Maintain detailed records of grants, deadlines, reporting requirements, and correspondence using databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar systems. * Collaborate with program staff to gather data, write financial reports, and develop program development strategies that align with funder priorities. * Edit and proofread proposals and reports for clarity, consistency, and impact while ensuring compliance with technical specifications. * Support contract management activities related to grants and fundraising efforts, including reviewing contracts and monitoring deliverables.
**Experience**
* Proven experience in nonprofit foundation fundraising or community organization grant writing within Hispanic/Latino or Native American contexts. * Strong background in proposal writing, technical writing, content editing, persuasive writing, and financial report writing. * Familiarity with databases such as Raiser's Edge or equivalent for database management and tracking grants. * Knowledge of nonprofit program development, strategic planning, budgeting, and contract management processes. * Experience conducting research on funding opportunities within government agencies and private foundations. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. * Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and funders alike.
