Job Description for Strategic Communications Analyst
About the role
Malaysia’s online conversation moves fast, and senior decision-makers need to know what matters and why. As an Analyst, you’ll be the one who tells them. You’ll spot what is shifting, work out what is behind it, and put your analysis in front of the people who act on it. The desk runs on a shift rota.
What you’ll do
- Follow the national conversation in Malaysian languages using a listening platform
- Use OSINT or research to verify signals before escalating
- Turn data into sharp analysis, delivered to fixed deadlines
- Explain the narratives driving public opinion and why they are moving
- Recommend how to respond through strategic communications
What you’ll bring
- Degree in communications, data analytics, political science or similar
- 1 year experience in social listening, media monitoring, OSINT or research; strong fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Proficiency in BM and English
- Clear writing and the confidence to argue a point
- Curiosity about Malaysian current affairs, society and online culture
- Ability to work shifts, on site in Kuala Lumpur
Pay: RM3,300.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
