Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial and Business Analyst to provide accurate financial, operational, and commercial analysis across dedicated contracts. The successful candidate will support business decision-making by analysing revenue, costs, contract performance, and operational data, while preparing accurate financial and management reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational analysis packs, including analysis of revenue, costs, expense allocations, invoicing, and contract performance.
- Analyse revenue and cost processes to ensure revenue completeness, accurate expense allocation, and effective financial performance across contracts.
- Provide detailed commercial and operational analysis, support ad hoc analysis projects, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business performance optimisation.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field advantageous.
- 4–5 years' experience in a similar Commercial Analyst, Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Operational Analyst role.
- Proven experience in comprehensive operational and commercial analysis.
- Experience engaging with management-level stakeholders.
- Relevant logistics, transport, or supply chain industry experience advantageous.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with TMS, Qlik Sense, Smartsheet, SQL, and Python at intermediate/advanced level.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
- Knowledge of relevant software solutions within the logistics environment.
- Project management experience advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, numerical reasoning, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, time management, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
