Our team is responsible for developing and managing relationships with critical partners, such as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, which are fundamental to the success of Stripe's product strategy and delivering new capabilities to Stripe users.</p> <h2>What you'll do</h2> <p>We're looking for a US or Canada-based candidate to join our team to lead one of Stripe's critical network partnerships. The candidate will manage overall partner health, build internal strategy and business cases, drive deal negotiation and execution, and coordinate priorities with internal teams and external partners. The role requires close coordination with leadership, product and engineering teams, as well as cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Risk, etc., and with external partners' leaders and senior executives.</p> <p>This is a high-impact individual contributor role that requires the ability to rally cross-functional teams and flex "general manager" skills to shepherd a meaningful portion of Stripe's P&amp;L.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Manage one of Stripe's most critical U.S. Network partnerships, with a focus on driving the execution of joint initiatives and launching new offerings to benefit Stripe users</li> <li>Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful long-term partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe's strategy</li> <li>Use data to drive strategy and decisions • Coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, engineering, treasury, and global partner managers) to drive creation and execution of partner strategy</li> <li>Develop, manage, and report on strategic plans, key negotiation and expansion opportunities, and overall partner health with a multi-year vision in mind</li> <li>Juggle and reconcile competing priorities to drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal across multiple stakeholders</li> <li>Coordinate and prioritize a large number of activities and initiatives that compete for scarce resources to drive best outcomes for our users and Stripe</li> </ul> <h2>Who you are</h2> <p>We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>12+ years in partnerships, business development, or similar fields</li> <li>3+ years deep in the payments world—you need to understand how card networks operate</li> <li>Experience negotiating significant commercial deals</li> <li>Comfortable in a product-focused environment with lots of dependencies</li> <li>Great communication skills, especially being able to influence C-level colleagues</li> <li>Experience running large, complex, cross-functional projects</li> </ul>
