As our Production Engineer, you'll play a key role in scaling our manufacturing operations and helping deliver high-quality products that support the energy transition.
Working at the heart of our production organization, you'll combine technical expertise with a hands-on approach to improve processes, solve manufacturing challenges, and support the production teams that keep our operation running safely and efficiently. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or a strong affinity for polymer extrusion.
In this role, you will:
- Support the planning, preparation, and execution of extrusion and laminate production activities, including machine configurations, tooling requirements, and production setups;
- Drive process improvements that increase safety, quality, productivity, process stability, and operational performance;
- Optimize process control through automation, recipe management, line control systems, and monitoring of critical process parameters;
- Investigate quality and safety observations, coordinate improvement actions, and maintain production standards, work instructions, and technical documentation;
- Train and support Operators and Shift Leaders while collaborating with Engineering, R&D, and Commercial teams on product development and customer projects;
- Identify and implement improvements in tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes, while participating in the on-call support rotation.
What you bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Polymer Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field;
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing-focused engineering role;
- A strong interest in manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement;
- Experience with polymer extrusion processes; knowledge of PE, PA12, PVDF, or composite materials is a plus;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on skills;
- The ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines;
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English;
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
