Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and refine manufacturing processes using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to ensure optimal performance and compliance with engineering standards.
- Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and industrial automation techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and quality engineers to troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations or defects, utilizing engineering data analysis tools to identify underlying problems and prevent recurrence.
- Program and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robot programming systems for automation tasks within plastics injection molding, welding, or assembly operations.
- Create detailed schematics and technical documentation for process workflows, control systems, and vision inspection systems to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Manage project scheduling for process upgrades or new equipment installations while coordinating with manufacturing facility teams to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean management are highly desirable.
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a factory setting, with hands-on knowledge of assembly line processes and factory automation.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD tools for designing schematics and process layouts.
- Strong understanding of plastics injection molding processes, vision inspection systems, welding techniques, and industrial automation systems involving PLCs and robotics.
- Skilled in engineering troubleshooting, root cause analysis, project management, and data analysis to support quality improvement programs.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), Schematics creation, factory experience, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma manufacturing.
- Excellent team leadership abilities with experience collaborating across departments to achieve project goals efficiently.
