Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing workflows, and using data-driven methods to optimize production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using lean principles and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Design tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency and safety.
  • Implement and maintain manufacturing processes that meet quality and productivity goals.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with design engineers during new product development to ensure manufacturability.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting issues related to process, tooling, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
  • Document process changes, create work instructions, and train production staff as needed.
  • Evaluate and select equipment and materials for production.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
