We’re looking for a hands\-on Mechanical Engineer to lead and develop our maintenance team within a busy waste processing plant. This role is key to maximising plant uptime, improving fault diagnosis, and driving a strong maintenance culture.
**What you’ll be doing**
* Leading, coaching, and upskilling the maintenance team * Supporting diagnosis and swift resolution of plant faults * Driving preventative and predictive maintenance strategies * Improving plant reliability, performance, and uptime * Working closely with the Shift Manager to implement and monitor **daily start\-up and shutdown checks** * Identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities
**What we’re looking for**
* Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience) * Strong background in heavy industry (waste, processing, manufacturing, or similar) * Proven fault\-finding and problem\-solving experience * Experience leading or developing maintenance teams * Proactive, hands\-on approach with a focus on results

Pay: £55,000\.00\-£65,000\.00 per year
