About the role

**Compensation:**

Base Rate: $25 per approved business asset package. Total earnings are entirely volume\-based and depend on the number of assignments you choose to claim and successfully deliver. Earning Potential: Active monthly contributors typically earn between $3,000 and $6,000 per month, depending on their content production volume.

Field Stipends: Eligible approved submissions qualify for additional field stipends (up to $15 per approved spot) to offset menu or transit expenses incurred during shooting.

**Project Description:**

Wanderboat is an AI\-powered local discovery platform helping people discover restaurants, cafes, attractions, and unique local experiences through conversational AI. We are expanding our local discovery content across San Francisco and are seeking independent, tech\-savvy Short\-Form Video Contributors to create authentic visual content of local merchants (restaurants, cafes, and bakeries).

This is a 100% flexible, freelance role. You will use your own smartphone to capture authentic local experiences throughout San Francisco, working completely on your own schedule and choosing your own routes. There is no minimum or maximum number of projects. Contributors choose which available assignments they would like to complete.

**What You'll Do:**

* Initial Evaluation: Selected contributors will be invited to participate in an initial paid trial project to demonstrate content quality and evaluate platform fit. Upon successful evaluation, contributors may become eligible for future project opportunities during the project window. * App\-Based Tasks: Contributors may claim available unmapped local businesses directly through our platform, capture short vertical video clips using their smartphone, and upload them via the app. * Volume\-Based Payout: You are paid directly for what you deliver. Payouts and eligible reimbursements are calculated based on the total number of business asset packages successfully uploaded and approved through our platform. Expenses related to unapproved submissions are not reimbursable. * Content Deliverables: Each assignment includes detailed content guidelines describing the required deliverables, covering core business highlights, environment, and featured items.

**Requirements:**

* Comfortable navigating San Francisco independently; having access to a car, e\-bike, or scooter is strongly preferred for efficient movement between locations. * Must own a smartphone with a high\-quality camera and have a strong eye for aesthetic lighting and framing. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow content guidelines. * Able to organize and upload media content efficiently through mobile applications.

**Additional Information:**

* Selected contributors who move forward will complete an Independent Contractor Agreement and payment onboarding before beginning project work. * Contributors provide their own equipment, transportation, and internet access, and are solely responsible for their own taxes. * Applicants must be legally authorized to perform independent contractor and freelance work in the United States.
