Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mobile App Engineer (iOS) to build and launch Fullstack's first native iOS trading application from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Swift, native iOS development, mobile application architecture, and the Apple App Store release process. You will take ownership of the mobile codebase, build a high-performance trading experience, and collaborate closely with the founders and engineering team.
Candidates with experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, trading platforms, real-time market data, or mobile wallet integrations will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and launch Fullstack's native iOS trading application from scratch.
- Build a scalable and maintainable mobile architecture that supports future product growth.
- Develop interactive, gesture-driven user interfaces and high-performance financial charts.
- Integrate REST APIs and WebSocket streams to support real-time market data and synchronized price feeds.
- Implement efficient state management, local caching, reconnection handling, and performance optimization.
- Develop secure mobile wallet integrations, biometric authentication, transaction signing, and secure key storage.
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and security in financial calculations and trading workflows.
- Collaborate with founders, product stakeholders, and frontend engineers to deliver a consistent experience across web and mobile platforms.
- Manage the complete Apple App Store release lifecycle, including provisioning, testing, submission, and production releases.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, deployment, and rollback processes.
- Follow engineering best practices for code quality, testing, security, and documentation.
- Mentor and support junior mobile engineers as the team expands.
Required Qualifications
- 3–16 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on native iOS development using Swift.
- Proven experience building and launching an iOS application from inception through Apple App Store release.
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture, application lifecycle, performance optimization, and memory management.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and WebSocket-based real-time data streams.
- Knowledge of mobile security, authentication, secure storage, and transaction handling.
- Experience with automated testing, version control, build automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership of a mobile application and make sound technical decisions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Genuine interest in trading, financial markets, cryptocurrency, or blockchain technology.
- Willingness to work on-site five days per week in New York City.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing fintech, cryptocurrency, brokerage, or trading applications.
- Familiarity with live market data, complex order types, multi-venue trading, and financial charts.
- Experience with crypto wallets, blockchain integrations, transaction signing, and USDC-based systems.
- A public GitHub profile, portfolio, or examples of published iOS applications.
- Experience establishing mobile engineering standards and mentoring other developers.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary: $185,000–$300,000 USD.
