As our Shopify Developer, you will take ownership of our website performance and development. You’ll transform Figma designs into high\-performing Shopify pages, improve user experience, and build scalable solutions that directly impact revenue.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain Shopify storefront (frontend \& backend) * Convert Figma designs into Shopify pages * Customize and optimize Shopify themes (primarily Dawn) * Build new features and integrations to improve UX * Create responsive pages across mobile and desktop * Troubleshoot bugs and ensure site stability * Implement scalable solutions aligned with business goals * Collaborate closely with the founder and designer * Provide regular updates on progress and deliverables
**Requirements**
* Proven experience in Shopify development * Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid * Experience with Shopify APIs and third\-party integrations * Familiarity with themes like Dawn and frameworks like Hydrogen * Experience with backend languages (PHP, Ruby, or Python) is a plus * Strong understanding of SEO and performance optimization * Proficiency in Figma and pixel\-perfect implementation * Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively * Strong communication and time management skills
**Nice to Have**
* Experience working in e\-commerce or with SMEs * Knowledge of payment gateways, shipping systems, and tax setups * Previous experience working with Canadian businesses * Shopify certifications
