About the Opportunity
Our client is a reputable real estate developer seeking an experienced Landscape Design Manager to oversee landscape design coordination and implementation across residential and large-scale development projects.
This position combines landscape design management with hands-on construction-stage coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with design consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure landscape works are delivered according to approved designs, quality standards, project schedules, and budgets.
Important Role Information: This is a site-oriented management position, with approximately 60% or more of working time involving site inspections, construction coordination, and implementation monitoring, while the remaining time focuses on design reviews, technical coordination, and related management activities.
Key Responsibilities
Landscape Design Management
- Manage and coordinate landscape design throughout all project design stages.
- Work closely with landscape consultants to ensure design quality, functionality, budget, and project schedules are aligned.
- Review landscape drawings, technical specifications, materials, and design proposals with consideration for constructability and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate planting design, plant selection, hardscape details, and landscape materials.
Site Coordination & Construction Implementation
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor landscape construction quality, progress, and compliance with approved designs.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to resolve technical and design-related issues during construction.
- Review site conditions and propose practical design adjustments when necessary.
- Support the tendering process and coordinate with contractors during landscape implementation.
- Monitor construction progress, quality standards, and budget-related matters.
Landscape Maintenance & Optimization
- Evaluate landscape maintenance issues during the operational stage.
- Coordinate with plant consultants to improve planting quality and existing landscape areas.
- Recommend practical landscape solutions that improve maintenance efficiency and reduce long-term operating costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, Horticulture, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in landscape design, preferably with exposure to landscape design management.
- Proven experience coordinating landscape consultants and contractors.
- Strong hands-on experience in site coordination, landscape construction supervision, and construction-stage design support.
- Solid knowledge of softscape, hardscape, planting design, landscape materials, and maintenance requirements.
- Experience in residential, urban development, commercial, or large-scale real estate projects.
- Good understanding of construction methods, constructability, quality control, and project coordination.
- Knowledge of cost control, BOQ, and value engineering is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; additional design software is an advantage.
- Good English communication skills.
- Willingness to spend approximately 60% or more of working time on-site, depending on project requirements.
