About the Role
Do you have a background in software development, computer science, or a related technical field? Do you enjoy researching complex topics and turning technical information into clear, easy-to-understand content?
We are looking for a Technical Writer with software development knowledge or relevant technical experience to join our growing remote team in the Philippines.
In this role, you will work directly with one of our company directors and collaborate on technical documentation projects for software industry clients.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing client materials, conducting research, and transforming technical notes, audio recordings, and transcripts into accurate, professional documentation.
You don't need to know every technology from day one. We provide guidance and training on our documentation standards, tools, and processes.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who combines technical understanding with strong English writing skills, enjoys learning new technologies, and can work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and maintain clear, accurate, and well-organized technical documentation.
- Review client-provided materials and conduct independent research to understand technical requirements.
- Transform technical notes, audio recordings, and transcripts into structured and professional documentation.
- Research software development concepts, tools, and technologies to ensure technical accuracy.
- Identify missing information, inconsistencies, and areas requiring clarification.
- Maintain consistent terminology, formatting, writing style, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the quality and completeness of deliverables.
- Learn and apply new software tools, technologies, and documentation methods.
- Manage assigned tasks and deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related computer course.
- At least one year of BPO experience (required).
- At least two years of experience in technical writing, software development, coding, or a related software role.
- Excellent written English skills, including grammar, sentence structure, clarity, and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of software development concepts.
- Familiarity with programming languages or technologies such as Java or .NET is an advantage.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, software guides, research papers, or structured technical reports.
- Strong research, analytical, editing, and information-organizing skills.
- Ability to understand complex information and communicate it clearly.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
- Reliable internet connection of at least 5 Mbps for online meetings and file downloads.
Additional Advantages:
