ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of our core products while guiding a team of 10+ engineers. This is a deeply technical role — you'll spend approximately 70% of your time writing code, reviewing pull requests, and solving complex engineering problems, while also setting technical direction and mentoring the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the architecture, design, and implementation of major features and systems end-to-end.
- Write high-quality, production-grade code daily across the stack (primarily Java and Golang on the backend, with frontend development as needed).
- Lead and mentor a team of 10+ engineers through code reviews.
- Collaborate with the product team to shape requirements into well-defined deliverables.
- Break down requirements into clear, well-scoped tasks for the team.
- Track daily status, identify risks and dependencies, and manage mitigation plans.
- Manage technical debt and champion best practices in testing, CI/CD, security, and performance.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
- Partner with leadership to hire, onboard, and grow engineering talent.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including 4–5 years leading teams or large initiatives.
- Deep backend expertise in Java and Golang.
- Strong frontend expertise in modern frameworks like React and Angular.
- Solid grounding in system design, distributed systems, and API design.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record of shipping and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and influence others.
NICE TO HAVE
- Hands-on experience with Python for services, scripting, or automation.
- Strong SQL expertise, including query optimization and schema design.
- Experience scaling systems for high traffic or large data volumes.
- Exposure to microservices, event-driven architectures, or platform engineering.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or product company.
Pay: ₹961,181.79 - ₹2,246,202.66 per year
