GYM EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Greater Sydney Metro Area
Van, tools and parts supplied
Technical Fitness Australia services, repairs and installs fitness equipment for home gyms, commercial gyms, strata buildings, schools and leisure centres across NSW.
We're looking for another technician to join the team in Sydney.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Servicing, repairing and installing treadmills, bikes, rowers, cable machines and strength equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on site and getting them fixed first visit wherever possible
- Preventative maintenance runs across commercial and strata sites
- Ordering and fitting parts, and keeping clear job notes for each visit
- Dealing directly with clients — gym managers, building managers, school staff and home owners
WHO WE'RE AFTER
We don't mind what trade or background you come from.
Mechanics, fitters, electricians, appliance techs, bike mechanics, machine operators — if you're mechanically minded, methodical and can work out a fault on your own, we'll train you on the equipment.
You'll need:
- Good technical aptitude and genuine problem-solving ability
- A current driver's licence
- A NSW Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one)
- A National Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
- A White Card (or willing to obtain one)
- The ability to work unsupervised and manage your own run
- A tidy, professional manner on client sites
Handy but not essential: experience with fitness equipment, electrical or electronics diagnostics, or a trade qualification.

Your starting rate depends on your ability and what you bring to the job — show us you can do the work and you'll be paid for it, with room to move up as you develop.
