Superintendent Engineer - Technomar Shipping Inc.
Technomar Shipping Inc. is seeking a dedicated Superintendent Engineer to join our Technical department. As a Superintendent Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall maintenance and operation of our vessels.
Key responsibilities

Oversee the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Lead and manage the engineering team, providing technical direction, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Liaise with shore-based teams regarding repairs, parts procurement, and technical support needs.

Manage budgets for spare parts, lubricants, and other engineering supplies.

Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures, fostering a safe working environment for the crew.

Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on vessel performance, maintenance activities, and budget expenditures.

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a closely related field

Previous experience working at sea in progressively responsible engineering roles, with a track record as Chief Engineer

Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of vessel operation, maintenance and repair, preferably for Container Vessels

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in relevant software and technical tools

Proficiency in written and spoken English
