**Position Description**: The team is in search of a Project Analyst I with an interest in healthcare and exceptional problem\-solving and process improvement skills to join the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED)’s Trauma Strategy Management Office (TSMO) and Office of Emergency Medical Services – Medical Direction (OEMSMD) Support Team. The TSMO/OEMSMD was established to help BUMED address the unique challenge of delivering pre\-hospital, en\-route, and trauma care in the maritime environment, including the decline in clinical skills proficiency between deployments. To this end, the TSMO/OEMSMD establishes and manages strategic partnerships that promote clinical skills sustainment by embedding providers within military and civilian hospitals. The analyst will assist the TSMO/OEMSMD Support Team’s efforts to promote clinician skills sustainment through the activities listed below.

The Navy Medicine Trauma Strategy Management Office (TSMO) strategically coordinates and aligns disparate Trauma initiatives across the enterprise and prioritizes future efforts and objectives. The focus of TSMO is to provide a ready, rapidly deployable and combat effective Naval medical force to improve warfighter survivability in a joint environment. The vision is to achieve zero preventable deaths after injury and minimize trauma\-related disability through the provision of world\-class Trauma Care for the warfighters. TSMO three primary goals are: 1\) define, refine, and validate trauma requirements, 2\) establish and implement Trauma Care training standards, and 3\) sustain clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities through local and strategic military\-civilian partnerships.

The Navy Office of EMS Medical Direction (OEMSMD) ensures all Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers are properly certified, trained, and equipped to deliver prehospital care across the enterprise. The focus of the Navy OEMSMD is to serve as the epicenter for medical quality and medical control within the prehospital care environment. The vision is to achieve 'One Navy EMS' for prehospital care delivered aboard all United States Navy and United States Marine Corps installations. The three primary goals of Navy OEMSMD are: 1\) standardize EMS care through established protocols in alignment with national standards, 2\) credential EMS personnel and ensure skill sustainment and competency, and 3\) maintain a robust Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program to ensure positive patient outcomes.

**Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):**

* Collaborating with a team of practitioners to support the priorities of the TSMO, including the standup and management of skills sustainment partnerships, as well as additional strategic initiatives * Support the process improvement efforts for initiatives, to include activities such as: conducting current state assessments through stakeholder interviews, focus groups and process mapping, identifying improvement opportunities, developing implementation plans, and managing progress of the implemented improvements * Supporting the administration and completion of TSMO projects and initiatives through stakeholder coordination and communication, briefing and meeting material development, strategic planning, and project management * Assessing the performance of the partnerships TSMO manages by distributing quarterly surveys to each partnership and summarizing the results for TSMO leadership when directed by team leadership, collaborating with workstreams across the contract as they require additional support. * Produce strategic communications and messaging products to disseminate TSMO updates * Assist with monthly deliverable submissions, with growth opportunity to manage individual deliverables * Support management of weekly and monthly stakeholder sessions, including assisting with project administration, tracking and managing meetings and materials, and aiding with strategic planning

Required Skills:

* Active security clearance (e.g., Secret or above) or ability to obtain one * Bachelor’s degree required; coursework or experience in public health, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred * Familiarity with the military and/or healthcare industry * Strong client communication skills * Strong professional writing skills, including email correspondence and client\-facing materials * Strong organizational, interpersonal, and program management skills * Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and Adobe PDF * Close attention to detail * Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast\-paced environment * Self\-driven with an ability to independently manage tasks * Comfort with preparing and presenting ideas to clients, including larger groups * Comfort with working in a collaborative team environment * Familiarity with or interest in approved AI resources and using them responsibly to improve research, drafting, coordination, and knowledge management * Interest in healthcare strategy, healthcare operations, and process improvement * Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and stay organized across concurrent pods
