**The Role**

The successful Sustaining Equipment Engineer candidate will gain broad\-based industrial maintenance experience, encompassing Electrical/PLC/Servo, Robotics/Press Automation and / or, Mechanical, (Welding), Machining, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Conveyor systems, etc. Must be willing to tackle whatever technical challenge presents itself and be willing to assist and learn from others in their areas of expertise.

**What You'll Do*** Reports to Equipment Engineering Maintenance Manager, 66802\. * Leads: no subordinates. * Responsible for executing the job with focus on cost, quality and timing. * Build and maintain an attitude of team player to fellow positions within the home organization. * Build and maintain an attitude of team player to fellow positions to attached and interacting organizations. * Act in accordance with environmental, health and safety regulations. * Act in accordance with compliance and security regulations. * Day to day coverage of production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and Operation requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime. * Diagnoses equipment failures finds root cause and communicates actions taken to the rest of the team. * Investigate and implement countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns. * Become Expert Level Trainer on all machines in assigned area and be responsible for passing down knowledge to Shift Supervisors and Technicians. * Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds, (some weekends and holidays required). * Work with Spares Coordinator and maintenance for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) faulty components and communicate needs to the vendor. * Work with Process Engineering and other cross functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime. * Work with Process engineering and other cross functional groups to resolve product quality and output issues, improve die reliability, review procedures, and minimize die downtime. * Active leader of improvement projects to assist in improving the factory. * Design and Implement Equipment Reliability Improvement Projects. * Represent Operations in new investment councils, supports equipment design RFQ’s. * Support and maintain Industry 4\.0 / Internet of Things (IoT) projects to reach manufacturing excellence.

**What You'll Bring*** BS Degree on Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Other Technical Disciplines encouraged to apply), or equivalent in experience. * Experience creating \& maintaining a positive atmosphere in a collaborative work team. * Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team\-oriented work environment * Enjoys Troubleshooting and Problem Solving * Skilled with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel. PowerPoint etc.) as well as organizational software such as SCADA and Maintenance Management Software. * Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings as well as hydraulic and electrical schematics. * Able to keep in mind and interpret design requirements and components lists. * Basic understanding of Industry 4\.0 / Internet of Things (IoT) hard and software. * Willing to perform shift work (nights) and overtime as required, especially during down\-time and launch. * Language skills: German and English including technical terminology.
