We are looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to join our team.
Our outdoor cafe boasts one of the best views in the business. Nestled in the centre of our farm, surrounded by rolling fields and happy customers.
We serve consistently excellent specialty coffee alongside baked goods, ice creams and soft drinks, and we need a new Cafe Manager to come in and maintain our standards and drive them forwards.
You will work alongside one other Manager along with our team of part time workers who work more seasonal hours.
The Cafe sits at the centre of our business, with the 400 members of the gym coming by for a coffee after class throughout the day, and we also have a campsite \& events space.
**The Role**
* 4\.5 days per week (Mon, Tue, every other Friday, Sat \& Sun) * We are open from 7\.45am\-2\.00pm weekdays and 8\.00\-3\.00 weekends. * Shifts start and and end 45 mins before and after closing, and we try to schedule shifts so that if you open, you don't also have to close, particularly on weekends * Total 32\.5hrs per week \+ 1\.5hrs paid per week for remote work and helping with other parts of the business, eg managing F\&B for Events. * 1\.2x pay for any overtime, eg helping with an event * You will be paid a fixed salary plus overtime rather than by the hour. * You will need at least two years of Specialty coffee experience, and ideally at least one year in a Managerial role. * You need to be able to work fast, clean and efficiently under pressure when it is busy
**Responsibilities**
* Opening \& closing on time, every day. We have been open for 3\.5 years and have never opened late or closed early, consistency is vital. * Managing Food \& Drink orders with our suppliers, including Milk, Coffee, Baked Goods, Soft Drinks, Alcohol, Sundries, Cleaning Products etc * Managing staffing rota to ensure we have the correct amount of resource available at least 2 weeks in advance. Usually 1\-2 staff midweek, 2\-3 on Saturday and 3\-4 on Sunday, depending on weather and time of the year. * Maintaining and managing cleaning schedules \& standards to retain 5\* Food Hygeine rating * Making 10/10 perfect coffees, matchas and hot chocolates every time * Being a happy, smiley face of the business who enjoys engaging with customers, many of whom come every single day of the year.
