Job Summary

The Monarch Enterprises is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Packing & Dispatch Manager to manage end-to-end packing, dispatch operations, material handling, and logistics coordination. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that finished products are packed safely, dispatched on time, and delivered with proper documentation while maintaining quality standards and controlling operational costs.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Packing Operations

• Plan and supervise packing activities for finished products as per customer and project requirements.
• Ensure proper selection of packing materials to prevent scratches, breakage, and transit damage.
• Establish standard packing procedures for furniture, interior products, acrylic products, and other manufactured items.
• Monitor packing quality and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control and Production teams to resolve packing-related issues.

2. Dispatch & Logistics Management

• Manage daily dispatch planning based on delivery schedules, customer commitments, and production readiness.
• Ensure timely loading and dispatch of finished goods to customers and project sites.
• Coordinate with transporters, logistics partners, drivers, and internal departments.
• Optimize vehicle utilization, loading sequences, and transportation costs.
• Track dispatched materials and follow up on delivery status until successful delivery.

3. Team Management

• Supervise packing staff, dispatch executives, loaders, and helpers.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure adequate manpower availability.
• Train team members on packing standards, material handling, workplace safety, and housekeeping.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and individual team performance.

4. Inventory & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of packed goods, dispatches, delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, and other applicable documents.
• Verify quantities, product codes, labels, and customer details before dispatch.
• Maintain dispatch registers, stock movement records, and daily MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Stores, Accounts, Sales, Production, and Project teams for dispatch clearance.
• Ensure proper handling of rejected, damaged, returned, or shortage materials.

5. Planning & Process Improvement

• Prepare daily and weekly packing and dispatch plans.
• Monitor dispatch TAT and ensure adherence to delivery commitments.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
• Minimize transit damage, packing material wastage, dispatch errors, and customer complaints.
• Implement 5S, housekeeping, and safety practices in the packing and dispatch area.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Percentage of on-time dispatches.
• Reduction in transit damage and packing defects.
• Dispatch accuracy and documentation compliance.
• Packing and dispatch turnaround time (TAT).
• Transportation and packing cost control.
• Team productivity and daily dispatch target achievement.
• Reduction in customer complaints, shortages, and returns.
• Inventory and dispatch record accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; a diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations is preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in packing, dispatch, warehouse, or logistics operations.
• Prior experience in furniture manufacturing, interior products, modular furniture, or project-based manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of packing materials, product protection, loading methods, and dispatch planning.
• Experience in transporter coordination, vehicle scheduling, and logistics cost control.
• Good knowledge of Excel, inventory records, dispatch documentation, and MIS reporting.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, coordination, and team-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple dispatches and meet strict delivery deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing the complete packing and dispatch function while coordinating effectively with Production, Quality, Stores, Sales, and Project teams.
