Our client, a multinational manufacturing and distribution company, is looking for a Chief Accountant to join their team based in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the execution and integrity of the accounting function. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accounting Team Leadership
- Month-End and Year-End Close Execution
- General Ledger and Reconciliations
- Operational Accounting Oversight
- Tax and Statutory Compliance Preparation
- Audit Support and Control Execution
- Intercompany and Group Accounting Support
- Cash, Treasury and Working-Capital Support
Minimum requirements:
- Accounting/financial management degree
- Professional qualification will be advantageous
- Completed articles and 5 years' post-articles experience or 8 years' commercial experience
- 3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in a multinational/manufacturing/distribution environment will be advantageous
