**The Opportunity**
Reporting directly to the **CFO**, the Senior Director of Finance will lead a finance team of four (including a Director of Finance, Payroll Specialist, and Accounts Executive) while owning day\-to\-day finance operations, financial strategy, planning, and operational excellence across accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, compliance, and financial operations.
This role suits a hands\-on senior finance leader who can balance strategic planning with operational execution in a fast\-paced, high\-growth **SaaS** environment.
**What You'll Do**
*Financial Leadership \& Strategy*
* Lead financial planning, budgeting, **FP\&A**, forecasting, and long\-range strategic planning * Develop financial models, KPI reporting, and executive dashboards * Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership and the CFO
*Team Leadership*
* Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team of 4 * Establish priorities, processes, and performance expectations * Build scalable processes and internal controls to support growth
*Accounting \& Financial Operations*
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes * Ensure timely preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting packages * Maintain oversight of AP, AR, payroll, treasury, banking, and intercompany accounting * Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements
*Compliance \& Risk Management*
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements * Manage external audits; liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners * Strengthen internal **financial controls** and corporate governance * Oversee HST filings and regulatory compliance
*Cross\-Functional \& Board Support*
* Partner with Operations, Sales, Customer Success, HR, and Technology on strategic initiatives * Support **board reporting**, investor requests, due diligence, and financing initiatives
**What We're Looking For**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field * **CPA designation (Canada) — completed required** (CPA Candidate, Enrolled, PEP, or CFE Candidate status will not be considered) * 8–10\+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience * 7\+ years of full cycle accounting experience * 4\+ years managing teams * 4\+ years working with QuickBooks * Strong FP\&A, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls expertise * Experience managing external auditors, financial institutions, and third\-party service providers * Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Experience within a **SaaS or technology company** strongly preferred * Experience supporting **fundraising, private equity, M\&A, or board reporting** considered a strong asset
