Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Elicitation & Analysis

• Lead workshops with internal and external stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, using AI to prepare question sets, synthesise transcripts and surface gaps.
• Analyze current business processes and identify functional gaps.
• Draft detailed user stories, functional specs and acceptance criteria, using AI to speed up drafting while keeping full ownership of accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain traceability, manage scope changes, and drive sign-offs.

AI-Augmented Delivery

• Turn raw inputs such as meeting notes, client documents and legacy specs into structured requirements and user stories with AI, then validate them with stakeholders.
• Build clickable prototypes and demos with AI-assisted development tools to validate ideas with clients before engineering starts.
• Create small tools, scripts and automations that make daily work easier for yourself and the team, such as spec generators, test data builders and reporting helpers.
• Share prompts, workflows and reusable assets with the team, and help shape how tigerlab uses AI in delivery.
• Apply sound judgment on data privacy and confidentiality when using AI with client and insurance data.

Product Development Support

• Collaborate with Product Managers to shape the roadmap and prioritize features.
• Translate business needs into developer-ready requirements.
• Provide insights from market research and data analysis to guide product decisions.
• Participate in solution architecture and design discussions.
• Ensure every feature aligns with user needs and business goals.

Client Engagement & Implementation

• Lead discovery sessions and client workshops.
• Document custom configurations and oversee implementation.
• Support pre-sales with rapid AI-built prototypes and tailored product demos.
• Coordinate client onboarding, UAT, and training.

Process Optimization & Digital Transformation

• Analyze and redesign insurance workflows using tigerlab tools.
• Identify automation and AI opportunities, and lead process improvement initiatives.
• Define and share best practices for recurring insurance use cases.
• Support internal and external digital transformation goals.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle: functional, integration, regression, and UAT.
• Create test plans, coordinate testing, and lead defect triage.
• Generate test scenarios, edge cases and test data with AI, and review them critically for coverage.
• Ensure delivery quality meets business and client expectations.

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

• Conduct data analysis, including AI-assisted analysis, supporting product development and operational decisions.
• Design KPI frameworks and build dashboards for stakeholders.
• Monitor usage patterns to uncover optimization opportunities.
• Support cross-team decision-making with data-driven insights.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the bridge between business and technical teams.
• Drive alignment across functions and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Present insights and project updates to leadership.
• Build trusted relationships across clients and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analysis, Statistics, or a related field.

AI Proficiency

• Hands-on, regular use of LLM assistants (e.g. Claude) in professional work, with concrete examples you can show us.
• Strong prompting and context-setting skills: you know how to give AI the right inputs to get useful outputs.
• Critical judgment: you recognise when AI output is wrong, incomplete or invented, and you verify before anything reaches a client or developer.
• Awareness of data privacy, confidentiality and responsible use when working with AI and client data.

Technical Skills

• Strong skills in requirements management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with data analysis methods.
• Testing experience including test planning, execution, and automation tools.
• Understanding of API concepts, integration patterns, and digital platforms.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with insurance management systems or similar enterprise software.
• User experience and design thinking skills to understand client problems, elicit needs and design effective solutions.
• Knowledge of business process modeling (BPMN, UML).

Domain Knowledge

• Good understanding of insurance industry processes (underwriting, policy administration, claims).
• Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of digital transformation challenges in insurance.
• Familiarity with insurance technology trends and market dynamics.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Curiosity and a habit of experimenting with new tools and ways of working.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building prototypes or apps with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code or similar).
• Basic scripting skills (Python or JavaScript), or comfort learning them with AI support.
• Familiarity with Git, APIs and AI connector or integration concepts (e.g. MCP).
• Experience with cloud platforms and SaaS solutions.
• Knowledge of API management and integration platforms.
• Experience with process automation tools and workflow engines.
• 2 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with software implementation or product development projects.
