**Today Bread – Walthamstow, London E17**
Today Bread is looking for an experienced **Full\-Time Barista** to join our team at our Walthamstow bakery and café.
We are an independent bakery and café serving speciality coffee, fresh sourdough, pastries, sandwiches, and seasonal food. We are looking for someone who is confident behind the coffee machine, enjoys working in a busy café environment, and takes pride in delivering great customer service.
This role is suitable for someone with strong barista experience who is reliable, friendly, and happy to be part of a fast\-paced team.
**Location:** Today Bread 6–10 Central Parade, 137 Hoe Street Walthamstow, London E17 4RT
**Pay:** £12\.75–£13\.50 per hour, depending on experience Plus tips

**Main responsibilities**
* Preparing and serving high\-quality coffee and espresso\-based drinks to company standards * Dialling in, calibrating and maintaining coffee equipment, including espresso machines and grinders * Steaming milk correctly and ensuring consistency across all drinks * Delivering friendly, knowledgeable and professional customer service * Recommending products and helping customers with coffee and menu choices * Upselling seasonal drinks, bakery items and other menu products * Keeping the coffee bar clean, organised and fully stocked throughout service * Following daily and weekly cleaning procedures, including backflushing and equipment care * Monitoring stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups and other bar supplies * Following FIFO stock rotation to maintain freshness and minimise waste * Reporting any equipment or maintenance issues to the manager promptly * Supporting the wider café team during busy periods * Following all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards * Taking part in training sessions and supporting new team members where needed
**Requirements**
* Minimum **2 years’ experience working as a barista** * Speciality coffee experience is a strong advantage * Confident using espresso machines, grinders and steam wands * Able to work calmly and efficiently during busy service * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately * Friendly, reliable and punctual * Good communication skills * Team player with a positive attitude * Able to start shifts from **6:00am**
