Job Description: Video Editor
Experience: 2–5 years
Role Overview:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce high-quality video content for digital and social media platforms. The ideal candidate has strong storytelling instincts, technical editing skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos for social media, YouTube, ads, and internal use
- Add graphics, transitions, subtitles, sound effects, and background music to enhance content
- Collaborate with the content/marketing team to understand video briefs and deliver on brand guidelines
- Colour-correct and grade footage for visual consistency
- Manage multiple projects and turnaround short-form and long-form content within deadlines
- Stay updated with editing trends, formats (Reels, Shorts, etc.), and platform-specific best practices
- Organize and maintain a structured media library/footage archive
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of relevant video editing experience (agency, in-house, or freelance)
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or DaVinci Resolve
- Strong sense of pacing, timing, and visual storytelling
- Working knowledge of motion graphics and basic VFX
- Ability to work independently and handle feedback/revisions efficiently
- A portfolio/reel showcasing past editing work is required
Good to Have:
- Experience editing for social-first or education/ed-tech content
- Basic knowledge of shooting/camera work
- Familiarity with AI-based editing tools
