Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Engineering to lead the technology and product engineering function across our Mystery Audit and Market Research business and Total Vizion, our AI-powered video analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of experience in Software Engineering, Product Development, or a similar field, with strong expertise in platform architecture, AI and computer vision, cloud technologies, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
· Own and lead the overall technology and engineering strategy, including the Total Vizion product roadmap, aligned with business goals.
· Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of core platforms, including Total Vizion, audit management systems, field auditor mobile apps, client dashboards, and learning (LMS) platforms.
· Lead the development and continuous improvement of AI and computer vision capabilities, including AI-powered checklists such as customer wait time, queue length, intrusion, guard presence, and fire detection, ensuring high detection accuracy.
· Ensure seamless integration with existing CCTV cameras, DVRs, and NVRs across all leading brands, enabling quick camera onboarding without new hardware.
· Build and manage real-time alert and notification workflows that notify the right users of actionable events and capture feedback to close the event loop.
· Own the scalable cloud architecture and delivery options, including cloud deployment, APIs for integration with client CRM/ERP systems, and SDKs.
· Deliver intuitive mobile and web experiences for live monitoring, recorded footage, incident tagging, and analytics dashboards that give clients actionable business insights.
· Work closely with technology partners, including Wobot.ai, to manage the joint roadmap, releases, and integrations.
· Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams including developers, AI/ML engineers, QA, data, and DevOps engineers.
· Define architecture, coding standards, and best practices, and ensure timely, high-quality product releases.
· Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Project Managers teams to translate client needs into technical solutions, and support pre-sales demos and client implementations.
· Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (including GDPR), with role-based access, audit trails, and disaster recovery practices.
· Manage technology vendors, infrastructure, and cloud costs while staying updated on emerging AI and automation technologies to drive innovation.
· Report directly to senior leadership on technology performance and strategic goals.
Requirements
· B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
· 12-15 years of proven experience in Software Engineering, Product Development, or Technology Services, with at least 8+ years in a technology leadership/engineering management role.
· Strong hands-on knowledge of software architecture, web and mobile application development, cloud platforms, and databases is essential.
· Experience in computer vision, machine learning, or AI-based video analytics products is highly desirable.
· Familiarity with video streaming, CCTV/DVR/NVR integration, and real-time cloud processing is a plus.
· Exceptional leadership, people management, and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in project management tools, Agile practices, version control, and DevOps processes.
