JD for Senior Design Engineer: Job Summary: This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies. Responsibilities: + Support Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers to support the projects. + Strong focus on sheet metal part design, casting part design. Prepare layouts and concept designs, sketches and detailed drawings as required. + Prepare/maintenance of Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices. + Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams and project partners. + Provides design support for current production parts and products. + Create and develop DFMEA and DVPN&R. + Feasibility study on VAVE projects. + Commit to deliver 100% QDC. Qualifications: + Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. + 6-9 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering. Key Competencies: + Hands on experience in Solidworks, Teamcenter + Hands on experience in NPD / VAVE / Sustenance projects. + Strong knowledge on sheet metal, Casting, Machining design and manufacturing processes. + Good knowledge and application of Tolerance stack up and analysis. + Hands on experience in DFMEA and DVPN&R is preferred. + Good knowledge on Bill of Materials. + HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred. + Good Oral and Written communication skills. + Must be able to adjust changing demands, priorities and objectives. + Good attention to detail and problem solving capabilities of manufacturing and field issues. + Coach and develop team members. + Project management skills.
