Role Overview

As a Software Engineer in the Shop Pod, you will partner closely with product owners and fellow engineers to expand, optimize, and maintain our shop technology stack. You will play a vital role in bringing UI wireframes to life, building robust back-end and server functionality, and supporting the team in shipping seasonal content, new shop offers, and live-ops updates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shop Stack Evolution: Work closely with shop product owners and engineers to ship updates, optimize tech infrastructure, and build out scalable shop features.

2. UI & Frontend Implementation: Bring wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces to life within the shop experience.

3. Offer & Feature Support: Extend existing shop tech to support new offer mechanics, monetization features, and seasonal content drops.

4. Backend & Cloud Development: Develop underlying back-end systems, server-authoritative logic, and database functionality to back frontend shop features.

5. Live-Ops & Issue Resolution: Monitor, diagnose, and repair emergent live issues affecting the shop to ensure uptime and seamless player transactions.

Required Qualifications

1. Unity Engine: Proven experience developing and shipping mobile applications in Unity.

2. Data Management: Direct experience creating persistent data schemas, handling data migration, and managing schema versioning.

3. Server-Authoritative Architecture: Demonstrated ability crafting server-authoritative features paired with client prediction.

4. Cloud & Backend Services: Hands-on experience implementing backend logic and deploying services in AWS.

5. Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency with Git, .NET, and C#.

6. Mobile Development: Background in mobile game development lifecycle and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

1. Experience with web technologies such as React / Next.js.

2. Familiarity with Vue.js.

3. Experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) into software workflows.
